Yiying Wang, anassistant professor in the Nutrition Department, School of PublicHealth, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.


Shereceived her Bachelor of Medicine degree and completed her residencyin 2004. After graduating from Auckland University of Technology inNew Zealand with a degree of Master of Public Health (Honors), shereturned to China, undertaking a teaching and research position whilemaintaining general practice. She is currently studying in the Schoolof Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, in an effort to advanceher research capability with world prestige courses and leadingexperts in the field.


Shehas developed a particular interest in community health engagement,intervention and evaluation. Her previous research focuses oncommunity healthcare utilization, accessibility and delivery.Research projects also included comprehensive investigation,analysis, intervention and recommendation of sarcopenia andsarcopenia obesity from an epidemiological perspective at communitylevel. These experiences have well equipped her with strongleadership and organizational skills in field research, combined witha wealth of first-line community healthcare resources as a clinicalgeneral practitioner.
